A bit of Scotland

 

Hi there!
Last weekend I was in Glasgow and Edinburgh for a day. So when I landed on Saturday I was planning on going out for a drink to a pub but then I forgot my ID. People, do take your ID whenever you go out. Very important!
Next day I woke up early for breakfast and headed to the traint station in Queen Street. That day was the Great Scottish Run so the streets were packed in the morning. After fifty minutes trip by train I got to Edinburgh city centre and I was impressed by the fact that the city is built right beside the castle and the great medieval architecture of most of the buildings. Everything looks intact.
After getting to the top of the hill and admiring the views before us, I walked down the streets and then back to the train station.
Unexpectedly, it did not rain that day, which made it very much enjoyable.
Scoltand is green, very much. A good spring destination I'd say. Next time I'll go for the lake's excursion...

El pasado fin de semana estuve en Glasgow y en Edinburgo por un día. Así que cuando aterricé el sábado planeaba salir a tomar algo a algun bar però me olvidé del carné de identidad. Gente, llevaros el carné cuando salgáis. Muy importante! Incluso en bares lo piden...
Al día siguiente me levanté temprano para desayunar y me dirigí a la estación de la calle Queen. Ese día se celebraba la Great Scottish Run así que las calles estaban llenas esa mañana. Después de cincuenta minutos de viaje en tren llegué al centro de Edinburgo y me impresionó ver que la Ciudad està construïda justo al lado del Castillo y toda la arquitectura medieval que lo rodea. Todo parece intacto.
Tras alcanzar la cima del monte y admirar las vistas que había ante nosotros, caminé calle abajo y luego de vuelta a la estación.
Por sorpresa ese día no llovió, lo cuál hizo la visita mucho más agradable.
Escocia es verde, muy verde. Un buen destino primaveral, me atrevo a decir. La próxima vez iré al lago Ness...
